Since opening our first office over 20 years ago, we have grown exponentially in Vietnam. Today we employ more than 6,500 people in the central and southern regions.

Vietnam’s growing global profile and contribution to the agri-business sector has been remarkable and ofi has contributed and participated in this growth. We are among the country’s leading producers, processors and exporters of almond, ginger and nutmeg . Our other products such as coffee, nuts and spices are in line with Vietnam's own production.

Coffee

At around 30 million bags, Vietnam is the largest contributor to Global Trade of Robusta coffee. ofi is the largest exporter of soluble coffee from Vietnam. Our soluble coffee plant is the largest single processing plant for bulk supplier companies with coffee that is UTZ certified.

Nuts

Our processing operations in Vietnam produce a variety of products including cashews, almonds, walnuts, pistachios, and macadamias for snacking, ingredients and culinary usage. Vietnam leads global exports of cashew kernels and also operate the largest raw cashew processing facility, a trend expected to continue.

Spices

Vietnam has become the world’s largest producer – contributing 40% of global pepper output – and close to 55% of global pepper trade.

As a leading exporter in Vietnam, and with our own pepper farms, ofi is the only player in the market to have a fully integrated supply chain from growing pepper at our farm to producing sterilised ground pepper ingredients.

The sweet treats and trends winning hearts this Valentine’s Day

Chocolate has long been synonymous with Valentine’s Day, with sweet treats a classic way to celebrate the season of love.

But Valentine’s Day is evolving, with Gen Z and Millennials redefining traditions. Many consumers are choosing to celebrate this day with friends and family members, as well as significant others. In 2023, 40% of Gen Z and 20% of Millennials said they were planning to buy their friends a Valentine’s gift.^[1] And what better way to do so than with cocoa?

As consumers change the way they celebrate Valentine’s Day – and who they celebrate with – there is an opportunity for manufacturers to develop new products. From introducing more exotic flavors in confectionery to creating more experiential formats and expanding into new categories, we’re seeing companies inventing new ways for consumers to celebrate the season of love with those who matter most to them.
