How an Indigenous community in Chiapas, Mexico, flourishes—and restores a landscape.
In 2018, ofi teamed up with the Rainforest Alliance to support a community of Indigenous coffee producers in southern Mexico as part of a five-year USAID initiative called Alliance for Sustainable Landscapes and Markets. The overall goal of this work was to allow the community of La Ramona, along with seven other nearby communities, to farm in ways that let them thrive economically while working to restore the land to its original richness.
